Honolulu Brides Studio is a five-artist on-location hair + makeup team. I (Mahina Akiona, lead) trained at the Aveda Institute and have worked Hawaiʻi weddings full-time since 2017. The team is built so we can serve a bride and bridal party of up to twelve at the venue, with everyone ready by the timeline.
We do trial runs in our Kakaʻako studio. The trial includes a consultation about your skin and hair, a full hair-and-makeup test, photos for review, and a written plan we send you so the day-of is just execution.
We work Oʻahu without travel fees. Neighbor islands by quote. We bring everything — chairs, lighting, our own kit. You provide a corner with an outlet.

Booked dates are pulled from the vendor's own calendar. If your date is open, you can request a quote — they'll confirm in their reply. Most events lock in 2–6 months ahead in Hawaiʻi; for May–August dates, sooner is safer.
Performances rooted in lineage. Kahiko and ʻauana under the direction of Kumu Hula Lehua Kalama-Iaea.
Restored 1930s plantation hall on the windward side. Six acres, room for 200, sliding-door views of the Koʻolau.
Third-generation North Shore shave ice. Real fruit syrups, fresh from the family stand, brought to your party.
