We are looking for our first hundred vendors across the islands — and we know being first means taking a risk on a platform that doesn't have proven volume yet.
So we're not asking for that risk for free. Our founding 100 get six months of Pro on the house, a permanent founding-vendor badge on their profile, and a direct line to the team building this. After six months you can keep Pro, drop to free Basic, or step up to Premium. Whatever fits your business.

Wait — Basic is really free?
Yes. We want every Hawaiʻi vendor on the platform, regardless of whether they have $10 a month to spend on marketing. Free vendors get the same profile experience as paid ones — they just don't get the visibility boost in browse, search, and category pages.
Are there booking commissions or per-inquiry fees?
No. Hanahou is flat-rate. Vendors keep 100% of what they bill clients. We make money from monthly subscriptions, not from skimming bookings.
What does the Pro placement boost actually do?
Pro vendors appear above Basic vendors in their category and on relevant searches. If two photographers serve Maui weddings, the Pro vendor surfaces first. Within the same tier, sorting is by rating + review count.
Can I cancel or downgrade anytime?
Yes. Month-to-month, no annual commitment. You can downgrade to Basic during slow seasons or cancel entirely. We don't lock anybody in.
What does the founding-100 offer include?
Our first hundred vendors get six months of Pro on us, a permanent founding-vendor badge, and a direct line to the team building Hanahou. After six months you can downgrade to free Basic, stay on Pro, or step up to Premium — your call.
Do you actually drive bookings, or are these just listings?
Honest answer: we are a new platform. We're not pretending to be Yelp. What we offer is a Hawaiʻi-native, well-designed front door that planners and hosts can navigate by island and category — and we are putting marketing dollars and editorial work behind making that front door real.
What happens if Hanahou shuts down?
We'd refund any unused months. Your reviews and content are exportable on request. We'd rather tell the truth about that than pretend we have product-market fit before we've earned it.
