I'm Pua Kalaʻi, a Hanalei-based family and portrait photographer. I shot weddings for eight years before refocusing on family and milestone work in 2022 — birthdays, anniversaries, baby blessings, the kind of session that doesn't need a wedding-day timeline.
Most of my work is on the north shore — Hanalei, Princeville, the beaches between. I'll shoot at golden hour or sunrise. I'll wait an extra ten minutes for the right wave to roll in. I don't pose much.
I deliver galleries in 3-4 weeks. I keep my schedule small enough that you'll get me on the phone before the session and a hand-written card with the gallery delivery.

Booked dates are pulled from the vendor's own calendar. If your date is open, you can request a quote — they'll confirm in their reply. Most events lock in 2–6 months ahead in Hawaiʻi; for May–August dates, sooner is safer.
