Booked them for our 1st birthday in Kailua-Kona. 120 guests. The kalbi disappeared in 20 minutes. They came back the next day to grab the equipment, easy. Whole crew was friendly with the kids.
Second-generation Korean-Hawaiian food truck. Kalbi, garlic shrimp, kālua, and the mac salad you remember.
Kalbi Wagon is my dad's truck. He started it in 2009 in a Kailua-Kona parking lot, selling kalbi plate to construction crews on lunch break. Now it's me running it — second generation — and we still do plate lunch but we also cater.
Our menu is what you'd want at a Hawaiʻi Island event: kalbi, garlic shrimp, kālua pig, lomi salmon, mac salad that tastes like the mac salad you remember. We don't do fusion, we don't do mainland barbecue, and we don't do anything we wouldn't serve at our own kid's first birthday.
Event service is from $400 (under-50 servings) to $900 (full lūʻau, 200+ guests). We bring the truck, two crew, propane, paper goods. You bring guests.

Had Kalbi Wagon at our company's holiday party at the King Kam. Real Hawaiʻi Island food, no fusion, exactly what our team wanted. The mac salad was the best I've had outside my aunty's house.
These are starting packages. Most vendors will customize for your date, headcount, and the kind of party you're throwing — ask.
